Hogwired.com Players of the Week Selected

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For the second time this season, Felix Jones has been named Hogwired.com special teams player of the week for his performance in Saturday’s 42-29 loss to No. 21 Kentucky. Offensive lineman Nate Garner and safety Matt Hewitt also garnered player of the week honors.

Zionsville, Ind. – The Razorback golf team earned its second top-five result in as many events with a fourth-place finish at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind. Arkansas shot a final-round 294 team score to climb from sixth to fourth position during the final day of competition at the Wolf Run Golf Club. Arkansas finished 29 shots over par and carded an 881 over the three-round event.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With 4:02 remaining in the game, Andre Woodson found Keenan Burton in the end zone on a 32-yard touchdown reception to rally No. 21 Kentucky past Arkansas. The touchdown and two-point coversion gave the Wildcats a 35-29 lead and the added another score with 59 seconds left for the 42-29 victory.

Razorbacks Wrap Up Competition at Southern Intercollegiate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman netter Chris Nott advanced to the round of 16 at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens, Ga., his first collegiate tournament. Nott defeated Arthur Takahashi of Winthrop, 6-0, 3-6, 6-1, in the round of 32 before falling in straight sets to Middle Tennessee State’s Joao Paoliello, 6-3, 6-3, in Division II bracket play.

An Air Force B-2 aircraft, based at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, will perform a fly over at the Kentucky-Arkansas football game Saturday following the National Anthem.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas football team completed a 90-minute workout Wednesday on the practice fields south of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Head coach Houston Nutt said the team has looked good as it works on game scenarios to prepare for Saturday’s home game with Kentucky.
