John Pelphrey Press Conference - No. 20 Florida

 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas plays host to No. 20 Florida at 2:05 p.m. on Saturday in a game televised by Raycom Sports. The Razorbacks are 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the Southeastern Conference while the defending national champion Gators are 18-3 and 5-1. Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey was an assistant to Billy Donovan at Florida from 1997-2002. Following is a partial transcript of Pelphrey's press conference previewing the game.

Razorbacks Ready for 101st Millrose Games

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas will send a 4×800-meter relay to compete in the historic Millrose Games at NYC's Madison Square Garden February 1. The first event begins at 4:40 p.m. CST and the 4×800-meter relay is set to go off at 6:45 p.m. CST.

Razorbacks Host No. 7 Texas to Start Busy Weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men's tennis team will play the No. 7-ranked Texas Longhorns Friday at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center with the first serve scheduled for 6:30 p.m. For the first time this season, the Razorbacks (0-1) will play a home match on the courts of the indoor facility.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas plays host to No. 25 Mississippi State at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday in a game televised by Raycom Sports. The Razorbacks are 14-5 overall and 3-2 in the SEC following Saturday's win at LSU. MSU is 14-5 and 5-0. Eight Razorbacks Named to SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas placed eight student-athletes from the football team on the 2007-08 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll. In total, 483 SEC student-athletes were named to the list. The 2007-08 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2007 Spring, Summer and Fall terms.

Hog Tennis Drops Home Opener to No. 69 Fresno State, 4-3

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After the first three team points had been decided Sunday, the Razorback tennis team found itself trailing No. 69 Fresno State, 3-0. A brief rally by the Arkansas netters put the team in position to erase the deficit, but the Bulldogs held their lead to beat the Razorbacks, 4-3, Sunday at the Walton Life Fitness Center in Bentonville, Ark.

Arkansas Gets Road Win At LSU, 68-52

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -Sonny Weems had 21 points, including five 3-pointers, and Patrick Beverley had 14 points and 15 rebounds as Arkansas beat LSU 68-52 on Saturday.

Arkansas Adds Four More NCAA Marks on Day Two of Razorback Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Track Hogs added four more NCAA provisional marks, coupled with numerous PRs, to its list on day two of the Razorback Invitational at the Tyson Track Center. Arkansas totaled eight provisional marks during the two-day event.

Razorbacks Help Tyson Foods and Lift Up America Fight Hunger in Northwest Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Today Arkansas Razorback student-athletes and coaches joined Tyson Foods, Inc., (NYSE:TSN) and Lift Up America to help fight hunger in Northwest Arkansas. Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long and student-athletes from the football, tennis, track and field and women's volleyball teams helped volunteers unload a truckload of protein products donated by Tyson Foods today at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium.  The truck contained more than 30,000 pounds of protein products that were distributed to area hunger relief agencies served by the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

Cole Voted SPiN College Cheerleader of the Year

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Pom Red squad member Laura Cole was voted the SPiN College Cheerleader of the Year by fans at CBS Sportsline. The Rogers, Ark., native received 54 percent of the 44,290 votes cast. The finals match-up of the College Cheerleader of the Week playoff, Arkansas versus the University of Houston, came as a result of a nearly five-month voting process.
