Weems Selected To Compete In Slam Dunk Contest

          SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Arkansas Razorback Sonny Weems has been selected to compete in the 20th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-Point Championships on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas football head coach Bobby Petrino met with local media Monday to discuss the beginning of spring practice which begins Thursday for the Razorbacks. The session of practices will conclude with the annual Red-White Spring Football Game scheduled for Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m. at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. South Carolina Rallies Past Razorback Netters, 4-3

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With the Arkansas-South Carolina dual tied, 3-3, the match at No. 4 singles decided the victor in the Gamecocks' favor as Johannes Pulsfort pulled out a 7-5, 5-7, 7-6(5) win over Dmitry Lebedev to clinch for the visitors at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center. Arkansas (10-10, 2-6) led 3-1 before South Carolina rallied to tie and, eventually, win the match.

Razorbacks drop pair to #9 Vanderbilt

          NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sean Jones returned from a hand injury on Saturday and picked up five hits over two games to lead the University of Arkansas baseball team, but despite his hot bat, the Razorbacks were unable to upset the ninth-ranked Vanderbilt Commodores at Hawkins Field.

          NASHVILLE, Tenn. – It took nearly 21 hours from the first pitch to the end of the ball game and the University of Arkansas Razorback baseball team did not like the outcome as they lost in the bottom of the 12th to the Vanderbilt Commodores, 6-5, on Sunday afternoon.

          NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Arkansas Razorback baseball team endured a tough four hour, 56 minute rain delay at Hawkins Field on Saturday and even after taking the field after the break, Arkansas and Vanderbilt were unable to finish what they started as the game was suspended again at 12:08 a.m. after the 11th inning.

Arkansas’ Rally Falls Short in 5-2 Loss to No. 8 Florida

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 41 Arkansas men's tennis team battled, but eventually fell to eighth-ranked Florida, 5-2, Friday afternoon at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center. The Razorbacks rallied after losing the doubles point and dropping the first set in five of their six singles matches. Each singles contest was extended to three sets, but the Gators held on to pull out the victory.

Van Horn named to National All-Star Lineup

          FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas head baseball coach Dave Van Horn was named to the College Baseball Foundation's week four National All-Star Lineup for his milestone victory over LSU last Saturday afternoon in Baton Rouge, La.

          NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The weather for the Arkansas-Vanderbilt series has been nothing short of uncooperative, but the two teams have waited it out and after nearly four hours, there is a tentative start time of 9:45 to Saturday's game.  When Saturday's  contest was halted in the middle of the fifth inning, Arkansas held a 5-2 lead on Vanderbilt at Hawkins Field.
