Razorbacks Eliminated in Regional by Stanford

The Razorback baseball team allowed just five runs on Saturday in an elimination game against Stanford at the NCAA Stanford Regional, but could only manage to score one of its own as it was ousted from the NCAA Championships by the host school, 5-1.

Junior Chase Leavitt had two hits including a RBI single in the top of the ninth, but it wasn't enough to push the Arkansas baseball team to an opening day win at the Stanford Regional as the Razorbacks fell 4-3 to Pepperdine on Friday.

Razorbacks Invited to Join Baseball Field

On the proverbial bubble for the 64-team NCAA Baseball Tournament, the Arkansas Razorbacks were happy to see their name flash on the screen during ESPN's tournament selection show at 11:30 a.m. on Monday. The Razorbacks travel to Palo Alto, Calif., this weekend to play in the Stanford Regional.

Blake Strode Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback netter Blake Strode has been selected to the 2008 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the university division of District IV. This is the second such honor for the Arkansas junior during his career as he was also recognized following his sophomore season.

Forsythe Voted to First-Team All-SEC

Junior Logan Forsythe was voted to the All-SEC First Team by the Southeastern Conference coaches it was announced on Tuesday morning by the league office in Birmingham, Ala.

Razorbacks End Regular Season With a Win

Andy Wilkins had two hits and three runs batted in, including a solo home run in the first inning, to pace the Arkansas baseball team to a 12-6 win over Western Illinois on Monday night at Baum Stadium; wrapping up the regular season for both clubs.
